Leading security design for multinational companies
When former Military Policewoman, Vicky, approached us to give her brand (modern and capable security company, Soteria), a stunning logo, we jumped at the chance to research, explore, and put a modern spin on the challenge of blending in and standing out.
With a comprehensive brief that gave us both structure and freedom to explore, we approached the Soteria Security Group logo design as more than just a visual exercise. This was about creating an identity that reflected authority, trust, and discretion in a sector where perception can be as critical as performance.
We began with deep research into the security risk management field, analysing competitor brands, international security symbols, and the language of trust and authority across both private and government-facing firms. We spoke with Soteria’s leadership and key stakeholders to understand their ethos: a team forged from military, intelligence, and crisis management backgrounds, dedicated to precision, professionalism, and protection without unnecessary noise.
From this foundation, we explored visual territories through mood boards that drew on classical protective symbolism, shields, sentinels, and watchtowers, combined with modernist simplicity for a contemporary edge. Dozens of rough sketches were developed, testing typefaces, iconography, and layouts that could live comfortably on everything from tactical documentation to corporate reports and high-security access credentials.
Each iteration was refined through collaboration with Soteria’s team, evaluating not only aesthetics but the psychological weight of each design. The mark needed to convey strength and reliability without feeling aggressive, an emblem that clients would instinctively trust in high-stakes environments.
The final logo embodies these principles: a confident, stripped-back design that carries authority at first glance, yet is versatile enough to adapt across digital and physical applications, giving Soteria Security Group a distinct, enduring presence in a sensitive industry.
